She was predeceased by: her parents, George R. Patterson and Della Faye Gray Patterson; her former husband Johnny Carl Chitwood; her husband John J. Brugos; and her siblings, Jewel Compton, Sue Crews, Samuel Patterson and Phillip Patterson.
She is survived by: her children, Garry C. Chitwood (Patricia) of Fieldale, VA, Cynthia G. Reino (Mark) of Stuart, VA and Lissa C. Lara (Leonard) of Huger, SC; her grandchildren, Katelyn M. Reino, Emily J. Lavelle (Josh), Christopher B. Chitwood, Chelsea M. Milligan and Amber Hormell; and her great grandchildren, Joshua H. Lavelle, Knox S. Lavelle, Kenzi Milligan, Stryker Milligan, Andelynn M. Hormell and Samson E. Hormell.
