Ruth Gaskins Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 18, 2019, at the age of 90, Ruth Gaskins (Huger, South Carolina), born in Shulerville, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bluford Ackerman and Jimmie Shuler Ackerman; her son Cecil Dewitt Gaskins; her great grandchild Anna Grace Dennis; and her siblings, Lottie Gaskins, Floride McManus, Ira, Robert and Richard Ackerman.

She is survived by: her children, Elaine Johnson (Clarke) of St. Stephen, Elma Crowley of Moncks Corner, Edward Gaskins, Sr. (Billie Jo) of Macedonia and George "Bubba" Gaskins, Jr. (Pam) of Huger; her siblings, Leila Ackerman of Mt. Pleasant and Bluford Ackerman of Huger; and her daughter-in-law Bobbie Jean Gaskins of Moncks Corner. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
