He is survived by: his children, Melvin Nick, Jr. (Scherrie), Lakell Nick, Trena Drayton, Harrison Nick (Danetta) and Vashti Darby; his grandchildren, Sharode Jenkins, Zoei Darby, Marquise Drayton, Aaliyah, Ashlee, Symonne, Shayla, Skyar-RoseMarie, Cameron, McKenzie and Marissa Nick; his siblings, Joe Nick, Earnest Nick, Carol Ellington (William), Sandra Wigfall (Sinclair), Shirley (Gabe) of Washington, Mariam Yeadon (Ricky), Julia-Ann Wright (John Henry) and Rosalyn Cromedy; his aunts, Estelle Asby, Lottie Nick, Estelle Garner and Ella-Lou Rivers; and his uncle Howard Ashby. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
