He is survived by: his wife Claudine Elizabeth Shuler Simmons; his sons, Jeff Jackson and Shelton Simmons (Nicole); his stepparents, Joann Knight and Johnny Ray Simmons; his siblings, David Simmons, Roy Knight, Paul Knight, Patricia Simmons Colubrov, Lela Simmons, Debbie Simmons and Renee Ne'Case; and his grandchildren, Jada Jackson, Jeremy Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Joshua Jackson and Novalee.
