With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katie E. Koth of Huger, South Carolina, born in Hemingway, South Carolina, who passed away on August 13, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel W. McKenzie and Esther Gaynelle Gaymon McKenzie; her sons, Odell Gaskins, Wayne Gaskins and David Gaskins; her grandsons, Anthony Phillips and Brendan Gaskins; and her siblings, Linda Fabre McGowan, Melissa McKenzie and Red McKenzie.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Koth; her daughters, Nell Phillips (Kenny) of Beaver Dam and Suzie Gaskins of Huger; her stepdaughter Kelli Mills (Warren) of Alvin; her sons, Clelle Gaskins (Brenda) of Bethera and Phillip Gaskins of Moncks Corner; her sisters, Belvy Gaskins (Jimmy) of Moncks Corner, Joyce Ann Johnson of Kissimmee, FL and Janice Sweigert (Bob) of Lima, OH; and her grandchildren, Joey Barrera, Odell Gaskins, Ethan Phillips, Sonya Sandish, Wesley Gaskins, Breanna Dupree and Michelle Mills. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
