He is survived by: his wife Susan Hughes; his sisters, Susan Gilligan of Scarborough and Mimi Hughes of Salem Massachusetts; his nephew Mathew Gilligan (Melanie); his great-niece Elise Gilligan; his great-nephew Colin Gilligan; his siblings-in-law, Gretchen Speer Anderson (Albert) of Mt Pleasant, SC and Brian Speer (Connie) of Morrisville, NC; and his nieces and nephews, Kelly Speer-Marchese (William), Kimberly A. Maldonado (Marlon), Kirk Speer (Natalie) and Brian Anderson (Kelly). He is also survived by five great-nieces, three great-nephews.
