He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Marshall Jessen, Sr. and Florence Aichele Jessen; and his siblings-in-law, Tommy Cuthbert, Bob Koch, David Yates and Gwendolyn West Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Susan West Jessen; his children, Frederick Marshall Jessen (Marea Camie) of McClellanville, Caroline Jessen Karditzas (William) of Crownsville, MD, Stacy Geulieme Jessen of Huger and Janie Helen Jessen of Huger; his grandchildren, Rigel Jessen, Aiden Jessen, Zoey Vea and Mary-Jean Jessen; his sisters, Beverly "Bali" Jessen Cuthbert, Dorothy "Dottie" Jessen Connelly (Bubba) and Rebecca "Becky" Jessen Koch of Summerville; and his in-laws, Meredith West Yates, Allan West (Susan), Gene West (Linda) and Roger Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
