She was predeceased by: her parents, Dawson Lester and Cora; her former husband Joseph K Svigel; and her brothers, Gerald Lester and Dean Lester.

She is survived by: her husband James A. Browder Jr.; and her sisters, Rena Covington and Devra Lackey (Tal).
