It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Kenneth Brooks of Hopkins, South Carolina, who passed away on June 25, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Brooks and Tennie Brooks; and his siblings, William Brooks (Bill), Robert Gerald Brooks, Rachel Jeannette Brooks, Dorothy Faye Jemigan and Judy Sitton.
He is survived by: his children, William David Sanders and Dawn Sanders Bland; his grandson Loren Grey Lockwood; his wife Carolyn Shelley Brooks; and his children, Natalie Brooks Rumsey (Tony) of Blythewood, Tammy Brooks of Hopkins, Glenn Brooks (Terri) of Hopkins, Tim Brooks (Lisa) of St. Louis, Gail Sanders Hawa (Wayne) of Conway, SC and Derrick Lane (Faye) of Columbia. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
