He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Evans and Genevieve Evans; his son Thomas Boyd; and his brothers, Troy, Lloyd, Frank, Pete and Jerome Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy "PJ" Phillips Evans; his children, DeWayne Evans (Connie) of Belton, Travis Evans (Amanda) of Honea Path and LeAnn Widener (Conrad) of Honea Path; his grandchildren, Kayne Evans (Rebecca), Lindley Pennekamp (Alex), Nathan Evans, Brodie Evans, Ethen Widener and Maranda Widener; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Owen, Tillman Evans and Evans Pennekamp; his stepgrandchildren, Andruw, Austin, Jakob, Justin and Braylin Taylor; and his siblings, Faye Evans of Iva and Jackie Evans (Bonnie) of Honea Path.
