He was predeceased by: his father Denny McGuirt; and his grandparents, Leon, Azilee Thomas and Valorie Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Ellie Welborn; his mother Judy "Juju" Thomas Craft (Plumer); his daughters, Shana McGuirt of West Union and Stephanie Jefferson (Stephen) of Westminster; his siblings, Kevin Craft (Mandy) of Belton, Tommy Craft (Lisa) of Anderson and Dana Boggs (Tommy) of Honea Path; his grandchildren, Bentley Payne, Kane Cobb and Tyler Whitfield; and his nieces and nephews, Blair Fortner, Carolyn Girones, Anna Craft, Blake Fortner and Ross Craft.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shane's memory may be made to Cottingham Hospice House, Attn. Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.
