He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brewington and Irene Lawson Easley; his daughters, Phillis Ragsdale and Jennie Robinson; his siblings, Ellis Brewington, J. M. Brewington, Hazel Whitt, Inez Crawford and Shirley Griffin; and his grandchildren, John David Riley, Jr. and Hannah Brewington.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Brewington (Ophelia) of Pendleton, Terry Brewington of Honea Path, Snooky Campbell (Bob) of Honea Path and Kathey Brewington of Honea Path. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
