She was predeceased by: her husband James Elbert Pearson; her parents, Heyward Ellison and Pearl Williams Ellison; and her siblings, Sara Nay, Hoyt Ellison and Geneva Broome.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Pearson (Lanette) of Williamston, Kathy Harvey (Jack) of Greer, Greg Pearson of Anderson, Jan Alverson (Bruce) of Pelzer and David Pearson (Mellissa) of Simpsonville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
