We are sad to announce that on October 11, 2023, Kathy Gatens (Honea Path, South Carolina), born in Spencer, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobart Tyson and Imogene Epling Tyson; and her siblings, Robert Tyson and Diane Endricks. She is survived by: her husband Col. Paul David Gatens, Sr. (Ret) of Todd Road; her children, Paul Gatens, Jr. (Christine MacIntyre) of Marietta, GA and Susan Gatens (Rob Endom) of Atlanta, GA; her brother Steve Tyson (Betty) of Nitro, WV; and her grandchildren, Anne Marie Cross (David), Paul Gatens, III, Ivy MacIntyre, Chloe MacIntyre, Brenna Endom and Aubrey Endom.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Dogwood Garden Club, 204 S. Main St., Honea Path, SC 29654 or to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at Komen.org.
