She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cleo and Myra Cleo Jones Crocker; and her son Gregory Eugene Chasteen. She is survived by: her husband Billy Eugene Chasteen; and her daughters, Jena Chasteen Ward (Phil), Sonya Echols (Chris) and Billie Joyce Chasteen (Christopher). She is also survived by five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
