He was predeceased by: his parents, John Chapman and Ruth Cooley Chapman; his stepdaughter Josie Chandler Payne; and his siblings, Johnny Chapman and Linda Richey.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Holloway Chapman of Keowee Road; his children, Joey Chapman of Belton and Heather Seawright (Billy) of Donalds; his stepchildren, Dwayne Chandler (Denise) of Greensboro, NC, Jay Chandler (Katherine) of Salem, VA, Steve Chandler (Carolyn) of Greensboro, NC and Tammi Taylor (Mike) of Craytonville; and his brother Jerald Chapman (Eleanor) of Belton. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, 2603 Due West Highway, Belton, SC 29627.
