He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Cooley and Dora Holliday Cooley; and his siblings, John Cooley, Sam Cooley, L. J. Cooley, Geneva Crawford, Margaret King, Minnie Emory, Katie Hanks, Sue Cooley, Martha Williams, Mary Ruth Cooley and Bobbie Cooley.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Hannah Cooley of Harper Street; his children, Randy Cooley (Wanda) of Honea Path and Connie Smith (Tony) of Belton; his sister Peggy Rainey of Pelzer; his grandchildren, Jeremy Cooley (Brittney), Tonya Hershman (Andrew), Hannah Morton (Joshua) and Eastin Cooley; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Cooley, Avery Cooley, Jake Cooley and Greer Morton.
