It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hazel Thompson of Honea Path, South Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to Hazel's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Hazel has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband David Kenneth Thompson; her parents, Claude Wilton and Eula Maude Ridgeway Kirby; and her siblings, Vera Davis, Margaret Medlock, Alfred Kirby and Wilton Kirby.
She is survived by: her siblings, Dot Strawhorn, Zelphia Garrett, Bill Kirby and Glenn Kirby (Kathy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Columbia Baptist Church (11321 Augusta Rd, Honea Path, SC 29654). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
