She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gambrell and Jessie Sharpe Gambrell; her son Carey Anthony Irby; and her siblings, Marion, Johnny, Robert Dennis, Patricia Page and Dorothy Fay Seawright.
She is survived by: her husband James Carey "Pete" Irby; her daughters, Sandra Denise Irby of Williamston and Stephanie Dawn Irby of Honea Path; her grandchildren, Brandy Haynes (DJ) and Jessica Roth (Bryan); and her great grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Michael "Jake" Smith and Charlotte Roth.
