He was predeceased by: his parents, Thad E. Phillips and Ollie Cothran Phillips; and his brother Billy Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Allene Bratcher Phillips; his children, Bobby Phillips (Andrea), Wayne Gambrell (Susan), Kim Creswell, Dana Phillips (Gary), Tonya Gilstrap (Joey) and Vicki Bouknight (Craig); and his brother Rev. Dale Phillips (Jean). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren six great-grandchildren.
