He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Treadwell and Frances Rowland Treadwell; his daughter Sharon Marie Treadwell; and his brother Charles Treadwell. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Acker Treadwell; his children, Barry of Honea Path, Anthony Treadwell of Honea Path and Ginger Alewine (Larry) of Honea Path; his siblings, Ronnie Treadwell of Anderson, James Elmer Treadwell of Seneca, Betty Mercer of Anderson and Jane Hudgens of Anderson; his grandson Derek Alewine (Julia); and his pet Marley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church or Hospice of the Upstate.
