He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Loretta Sue Gilmer Ashley; his parents, Jimmie Sue Sharpton Brewer of Anderson and Barbara Ann Ashley of Honea Path; his children, Benjamin Floyd Ashley (Ashley) of Honea Path, Laurie Jefferson (Eric) of Honea Path and Tracy Ashley-Shirley of Honea Path; his brother Mark Ashley (Mona) of Honea Path; his grandchildren, Anna Ashley, Mattison Shirley Elliott (Josh), Katie Ashley, Taylor Shirley, Turner Ashley, Drake Shirley and Luke Jefferson; his pet Sadie; and his sister Deborah Lee Smith.
