It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Avynell Mahaffey in Honea Path, South Carolina, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on May 18, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, R. V. Mahaffey and Ethel Wilson Mahaffey; and her friend Margaret Franks. She is survived by: her brother Ted Mahaffey (Shirley) of Marion, NC; her nephew Todd; her extended family, Jeannie Bryant and Clarice Kimbriel Stacey (Bobby, family: Tommy Hinnant, Miranda Bolt, Jeff Rowland, Elizabeth Stegin); and her close friends, Donnie and Elaine Smith. She is also survived by family, Tommy Hinnant (Deana) and family, Miranda Bolt and family, Jeff Rowland (Holly) and family.
