He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth M. Byas; his children, Darryl Mungin, Margaret A. Lambright (Bernard), Willie L. Byas, III, Bernadette Brown (Joe) and Shelia L. Brooks (Jessie); and his siblings, Delton Byas (Luethel), Lillian Byas, Elliott Byas, Herman Byas (Sarah), Kathleen Washington (Adigun), Cynthia Byas and Carolyn Mungin (Gyrdel). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
