He is survived by: his parent Joseph Samuel Whitt, Sr.; his wife Jill; his daughters, Megan H. Whitt of Hollywood and Amy H. Whitt of Hollywood; his grandson Brantley H. Hanna of Hollywood; and his brothers, Charles C. Whitt of Bamberg, SC and James G. Whitt of Hollywood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
