He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel James King, Sr. and Anna Lee Mackey King; and his siblings, Hardy King, Sr. (Berniece), Richie King, Sam King, Jr. (Elizabeth), Mazzie King Matthews (Althea) and Josephine King.
He is survived by: his wife Avis King; his children, Sharon Gathers, Dictrick King, Tyrone Wiggins (Avril), Wilbur Wiggins and Walter Wiggins; his stepdaughter Wanda Weatherspoon; and his sister-in-law Shirley King. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
