He was predeceased by: his parents, John I. Garvin and Thelma Perry Garvin. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Nelson; his daughters, Terri Shaw (Benny) and Andrea Frame (Darrell); his grandchildren, Manning Shaw, Kaylan Frame and Morgan Frame; and his brother Robert I Garvin (Micky). He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Johnny's memory to the Charleston Baptist Church or to the Charleston Animal Society.
