She is survived by: her husband Louis Matthews, Sr.; her children, Melissa Dunn, Michelle Matthews, Iy Jae Hae Matthews, Syreeta Ann Matthews, Louis Matthews, Jr., Jacqueline Annette Matthews (Bruce Holmes), Robert Lee Matthews (Shaylon Arnold-Matthews), Emmanuel James Matthews and Black Heritage; her mother-in-law Mary Matthews Wiggins; her daughter Connie; and also Germany.
She believed in charity and showed compassion and strength in the hardest of times.
