He was predeceased by: his parents, Josiah Palmer and Zadie Palmer; his son Paul "Jimmy" Rock; and his siblings, Mary Lee Fuller, Frank Palmer, Isaac Palmer, Cora Lee Bowman, Floree Myers and Reverend Ellie Palmer.
He is survived by: his wife Claire Palmer; his children, Audrey Cooke (Sam), Myrna Palmer-James of Georgia, Joseph Palmer (Danyette) of New York, Bessie Palmer, Sandra Palmer-Jones of New Jersey, Larry (Elaine), Clifford Brown and Debra Leake of New York; his siblings, Benjamin Palmer (Ruth), Samuel Palmer (Elsie), John Palmer (Elizabeth), James Palmer (Ruby) and Ernestine Mack (Henry); and his sisters-in-law, Bessie Rock, Susie Brown of South Carolina and Annie Lee Brown of New York. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He set a path for his legacy to continue with God and Family as his foundation and the meaning for everything he did.
