He was predeceased by: his parents, John Butler and Charlotte Gavin; his spouse Laura Mae Isaac; and his children, Jerry Butler, Rosa Lee High and Jerome Butler.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Kecia Butler of Charleston; and his sisters, Elouise Clark of Santee and Leola Brown of Holly Hill. He is also survived by grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends along with man's best friend.
