He was predeceased by: his parents, Whitaker Goodwin and Lula White Goodwin-Powell. He is survived by: his children, Angela Goodwin, Benita Goodwin, Saja Mobley-Goodwin and Benjamin Goodwin, Jr.; and his siblings, Genevieve Ash, Geralease, James Goodwin and Walter Goodwin (Peggy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
