He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson Michael Rodgers and Virginia Forrest Matthews; his brother Pat Rodgers; his stepfather Ralph Matthews; and his nieces, Melissa Burrus and Leigh Ann Rodgers.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Rodgers; his daughters, Kim Huckaby, Lisa Rodgers, Anna Rodgers (Randy) and Jennifer Raines (Butch); his grandsons, Carson Gibert and Connor Linsenbigler; and his daughter Tonya Gurganus.
