With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Arthur Wilson (Hodges, South Carolina), born in Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on July 24, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Wilson and Mattie Suber; and his siblings, Raymond Suber and Dorothy Ruff. He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. Wilson; his children, James Arthur Wilson II (Kendra) and Michelle Wilson Covington (Wayne) of Boiling Springs, SC; his siblings, Samuel Frye of Virginia Beach, VA and Irene Floyd (Wendell) of Orangeburg, SC; and his grandchildren, Brandon Ward (Fallon), Kimberly Wilson, James Wilson III, Shantella Marshall, Tyrell Calhoun (Quinetta), Brianna Calhoun and Coran Calhoun. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
