James Sheppard Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Sheppard of Hodges, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Sheppard and Mary Lou Hall Powell; his parents-in-law, Nathan Simpson, Jr. and Pat Powell; his son Jason Sheppard; his sisters, Brenda Gayle Avery, Polly Ann Lawter and Cathy Jean Murray; and his brother-in-law Harold Doolittle.
He is survived by: his wife Natalie "Sissie" Simpson Sheppard; his parents-in-law, Vangie and Jim Roark; his children, Jamey Sheppard (Amanda) of Wisconsin, Jennifer Sheppard Gillion, Julie Latham Brewster (Reggie), Brittney Harrill (Scott) and Shelly Sheppard Moss (Jacob); his grandchildren, Tyler (Selena), Tripp, Amara (Drew), Madison, Gabe, Gabi, Nathan (Elizabeth), Lucas, Gavin, Lila Jo, Easton, Brayden, Conner and Mila Kate; his great grandchildren, Aedyn, Paisley, Maverick, Christian, Evelyn, Jace, Maci Rae and Myla; his niece Bridgette Murray; his great-niece Blaire Stargel; his sister Alice Faye Sheppard Doolittle; and his siblings-in-law, Vanesa Mountz (Sam), Tammy Johnson, Kim Morris (Dude), Alison Webb, Chris Roark (Sissy), Marshall Avery and Ray Murray.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel (1025 Main St S, Greenwood, SC 29646). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
