He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Louise Williams and Simpson Vanderhorst Toomer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Katherine Richardson; his children, William Seamore Toomer, Jr. (Sandy) of Hilton Head, Cindy Toomer Hampton (Danny) of Marion, N. C., Lisa Toomer Dershimer of Suwanee and Keith Toomer (Doreen) of Anderson, S. C.; and his grandchildren, Sarah Katherine Hampton, Danny Stephen Hampton III, Elizabeth Annie Dershimer, Mary Katherine Dershimer, Caroline Grace Dershimer, Savannah Rose Toomer and Angela Lucille Mikayla Vasilas.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Deep Well or the First Baptist Church.
