She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ezra Lee and Helen Ruth Elliott; her husband Ivan S. Bennett; and her grandsons, Jonathan L. Bennett, Jason C. Bennett and Joseph W. Bennett. She was also cherished by her husband of 47 years and their three sons, daughters- in-law.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Charles H. Kelly Elementary School with funds used for special education needs as determined by the school and in Mrs. Bennett's honor.
