He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nicol and Ruth Nicol; and his brothers, David and Barry. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Richard and Paula; his stepson Michael; his grandchildren, Scott, Lauren and Ryan; and his former wife Sandra.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sea Catholic Church (45 Beach City Rd, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926).
