He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Swartz and Clara Carter Swartz; his wife Barbara Mae Phelps; and his son Geoffrey. He is survived by: his daughter Deborah; his son-in-law Jack Sovern of Beaufort; his son Barry; his daughter-in-law Bertha Swartz of Miami, Florida; and his brother Robert (Rob) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
