He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harold Rensch and Martha Alice Mann; and his brother Gerald Rensch. He is survived by: his girlfriend Elizabeth Haner (Betsy); his girlfriend's son Andrew Haner (Stephanie); his granddaughter Nova; his daughters, Susan Richman (David), Christine Rensch (Lauren) and Lorraine Velez (Robert); his grandchildren, Hannah, Anna, Andrew, Allison and Emma; his great grandchild Avi; and his brother Ronald Rensch. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
