He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Spurrier Eagers and J. Alban Eagers; his wife JoAnne Eagers; his sisters, Anne Rommel and Jean Long; his children, Jan Eagers (Michael), Joseph A. "Jack" Eagers III and Claire Eagers Leon (Gordon); and his brother William H. Eagers (Kathleen). He was also cherished by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
