He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Fitzgerald and Margaret Anne Breau; his stepmother Margaret Mulloy Fitzgerald; and his former wife Yvonne Borgers Fitzgerald. He is survived by: his wife Rita Fitzgerald (Varano); his sons, John (Julie) and Martin Fitzgerald (Kristina); his stepchildren, Janis Pulcini (Frank), Michael Ferrara (Thanh) and Robert Ferrara; his grandchildren, Kristin, Erin, Michael, Duncan, Amy, Connor and Robert; and his siblings, Mark Fitzgerald (Barbara), Elaine Stillman (Gary), Joan Leverone (Steve) and Susan Fuller (Mark). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
