It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Louise Sclafani of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Helmer and Edna Helmer; her significant other Red; her siblings, Mary Podolak, Rita Donnelly and Jack Helmer; and her stepsister Joyce Seeley.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Jean Rogienski (Alan) and Raymond Sclafani. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
