James Lisenby Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Lisenby of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, born in Hamlet, North Carolina, who passed away on February 22, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Lisenby to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his son Robert Daniel Lisenby of Asheville, NC; his friend Sue Zook; his siblings, Charles Lisenby of Summerville, SC, Margaret Gowder of Lexington, SC and Joann MacDougald; and his brother-in-law Gordon (Bonnie Lisenby) of Summerville, SC. He is also survived by several nephews, a niece and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
