He was predeceased by: his grandchild Thomas R.; and his siblings, Mary Davis (Young) and Thomas Jr.. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Marie Antonette Young and Jack; his wife Marilyn; his children, John (Karen), Mark (Barb), Meg Geddy (Bill) and Julianne; his grandchildren, Meagan, Kevin, Katie Young-Estep (Chad), Steven (Lauren) and Lizzy Geddy; and his great grandchild Elle.

“My husband and I met Jack and Marilyn on a cruise organized by Nancy Sabanosh in 1999. At one point we talked about cooking food and since the Superbowl was coming up Jack told me about this traditional soup he always made. Not long after returning home in Jersey, in the mail from Jack was the recipe for "Puerto Rican Black Bean Soup". I make it every year! Delicious! It is a well-established tradition in our home. Thank you, Jack. Your memory lives on. Mary Sternberg”
