He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Armstrong, Sr. and Mary Margaret Armfield Armstrong of Jamestown, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Carol Foster; his daughters, Mary Jean Armstrong Triebold (Bill) of Charleston, SC and Leslie Armstrong Stewart (Paul); and his grandson John W. "Jack" Triebold of Charleston.
