She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Stern and Clela Stern; and her brother Jack Stern. She is survived by: her husband Ron Montgomery; her daughters, Mary Bower (Doug), Patty Montgomery and Jean Dietrich (Kurt); her grandchildren, Andrew Bower, Sarah Bower (Morgan Squiers), Nick Dietrich and Jake Dietrich; and her sister Mary Moran. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Presbyterian Church or Hospice of the Low Country.
