He was predeceased by: his parents, David Samuel Grubbs and Estell Darnell Grubbs; and his siblings, Margie Joyner, Betty Still and Sammie Grubbs.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Still Grubbs; his children, Dwayne Grubbs (Sabrina) of Olar, SC, Janice Gainey (Joseph) of Barnwell, SC and Lisa Barajas (Rojelio) of Barnwell, SC; his grandchildren, Brittany Still, Brandon Grubbs, Mackenzie Truitt and Haley Grubbs; his great grandchild Jade Strickland; and his sister Barbara Ann Grubbs.
