Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gary Cheek Jr. of Hilda, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 36, on December 12, 2024. As Gary departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Gary. Though Gary may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his grandfather Pat Hartzog. He is survived by: his parents, Gary Scott "Scotty" Cheek, Sr. and Patricia "Patty" Renee Hartzog Cheek; his brother Derrick Cheek (Andrew Hartzog) of Hilda; and his grandparents, Janice Hartzog, John Scott Cheek and Mary Ellen Cheek. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Folk Funeral Home (170 Elko St, Williston, SC 29853-2612). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In memory of Gary memorial contributions may be given to a charity of one's choice.
