It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Patrick Ray Sr. of Hilda, South Carolina, who passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William McMaster "Bud" Ray and Mildred Delk Ray; his wife June Morris Ray; and his siblings, Betty Everett, John W. "Bubba" Ray and Harry Ray.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Bonnette (Marvin) of Bolentown, SC, Amy West (William) of Providence, SC and Francis Patrick Ray, Jr. of Knoxville, TN; his grandson Tyler West; his siblings, Shannon Ray (Shirley) of Govan, SC, Virginia R. Morris of Hilda, Sally Weeks (Joe) of Hilda, Martha R. Creech of Hilda and Julia R. Hunter of Olar, SC; and his siblings-in-law, B. A. Morris, Jr. (Hazel) of Hilda, SC. and Janis P. Ray of Olar, SC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
