It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie Eleba Owens (Hemingway, South Carolina), who passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henderson and Eliza Jeanette Thompson Owens. He is survived by: his wife Miranda Baxley Owens; his children, Jonathan Owens (Cebo), Tiffany Bell (Tim) and Kimberly Willis (Brian); his grandchildren, Henderson, Rheanna, Olivia, Carter, Haile, Halina, Haven, Henry, Eva, Ivy and Jaley; and his sisters, Camellia Flory (Phillip) and Sheila Cribb (Gene). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in honor of Mr. Jessie E. Owens to the Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 86 Williams Hill Rd., Hemingway, SC 29554.
